There's also a "subsidiary" label, called the REDUX Series, with catalog numbers SQRDX001, 002, 003... These are CD versions of old mix tapes and will soon be the venue for some older MILLS comps (including 1999 and Taiwan Trawl 2000, which were released before Squid Lord came to be). If you have reached this page through Googling, then you're welcome to have a look around and sample my music taste over time, as the track lists of MILLS represent my favorite tracks of the year. You'll also notice that the year on the CD doesn't equal the publishing date of the tracks. I'm very rarely ahead of any pack, and constantly discovering older material. All cover art is by me, apart from "In the Bag," which comes from the vinyl originals. I don't charge for any of these, they're purely gifts. |
INTRO:
For the most part, the Squid Lord label is where I publish private mix
CDs for a very select group of loved ones. Along the way, I released
the soundtrack to my film here as well (SQD006). Otherwise, the elite
members of the SQMailing List get at least two CDs a year (the MILLS
compilations, for want of a better title). Other releases include Pizzicato
Five-themed CDs for the Pizzicato Five list (the largest print run:
20 copies), and special editions based on a large, sudden influx of
good music (usually after a vacation).
